Twinkle Twinkle was set up in February 2008 by friends Lucy Lambert and Susannah Maynard. Friends for more than 10 years, they met whilst working for the same company. They discovered they had a mutual love of fashion and accessories and spent many years dreaming of starting their own business.

Twinkle Twinkle evolved out of this dream and now they spend much of their time sourcing individual pieces which they believe are the essence of Twinkle Twinkle.

As the business grew, they both felt there was a market to open an independent stylish boutique without the boutique price tags! In March 2010, Lucy and Susannah opened their first shop in Lewes, East Sussex where they have both lived for the past 15 years. They wanted to create a relaxed and inviting environment in which to shop. They have so many lovely customers, many of whom have now become friends and will quite often pop into the shop for a cup of tea and a natter, for them that's what it's all about!
Their goal of starting a business together, allowing them to combine family life with being businesswomen, has been realised. They say they are 'lucky to have the best of both worlds, running a business together that we love and having great fun doing it!. There is no bigger compliment than when someone walks into our shop and tells us how lovely it is, it makes our day!'.
